Carla Robitaille, RPTLearn more about Carla:

Carla graduated from Laurentian University with an Honours Degree in 2011, attaining her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She went on to graduate from the University of Toronto in 2013 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Carla then returned to Sudbury to work in the orthopaedic sector of private practice.

Carla is fluently bilingual (French and English), and is regularly expanding her therapeutic training through continuing education courses. She has additional training in Manual and Manipulative Therapy (currently level 2 lower and level 3 upper with the orthopaedic division of the CPA), soft tissue release training, therapeutic taping courses, and is certified in Integrated Dry Needling.

What sets Carla apart is her dedication to her patients. She will work with you to set attainable goals, then determine the most appropriate combination of treatment interventions. Therefore, your treatment will involve a unique mix of manual therapy, patient education, exercises and modalities to achieve these goals.

What is her approach?

Carla strives to provide quality treatment to her patients. She is a strong believer in a hands-on physiotherapy approach and always maximizes your 30 minute treatment session. She achieves this by always delivering one-on-one care without using assistants and without the use of extraneous modalities.

Of course, a physical therapist should be exactly that, physical! Carla grew up playing numerous team and individual sports, including gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, badminton, soccer, ball hockey, baseball, running, golf, and more! Also, it doesn’t take long to see that she is quite the outdoor enthusiast. She loves hiking, fishing, swimming, hunting, canoeing, kayaking, camping, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. This varied athletic background helps her to better understand and treat patients of all activity levels, whether you’re a weekend warrior or a professional athlete (or maybe somewhere in between!). She also draws from past experiences as a certified personal trainer, a gymnastics coach and as a recreational/exercise assistant in the geriatric field.

Call or book online today to start your journey to a better you! It’s never too early or too late. – Fun fact, Carla has treated patients as young as 3 years old and as old as 96 years young!
