Matt Lynds, Clinic Owner and Registered Physiotherapist
I am a Registered Physiotherapist in Sudbury. I currently hold good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. My educational journey began at Brock University where I graduated in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. I went on to pursue my Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in Hamilton.
During my time at McMaster, I pursued training in acupuncture from AFCI and APTEI, as well as various taping and soft tissue release courses. After graduating, I completed further education in manual and manipulative therapy (Level 1, Level 2 Upper and Level 2 Lower, Level 3 Upper and Swodeam Spinal Manipulative Therapy) as well as Kinetacore® Functional Dry Needling (Levels 1 and 2). I believe that continuing education is essential as a Registered Physiotherapist. I have always been a strong believer in lifelong learning. Therefore, I am constantly on the search for new and innovative training.
As a Registered Physiotherapist, it is my goal is to improve your level of function during your leisure activities, employment and activities of daily life. Pain is often a major factor that can affect your level of function. More often than not pain is our main focus. But what does it mean to be pain-free if you are not able to do what you love? This is where I come in. Also, I strive to provide you with the tools you need to live the life you want to live by maximizing your level of function while minimizing (or ideally eliminating) your pain. Patients can choose from a variety of treatment techniques, such as:
- Functional Dry Needling
- Manual and manipulative therapy
- Soft-tissue Release Techniques
- Electrical Modalities
Finally, as a patient you will take an active role in the treatment decisions to ensure that you are getting the treatment that best suits you.
